Huge thanks to everyone who voted for me. I am truly humbled and honored to have been re-elected for a second term as an independent candidate for School Board Trustee in New Westminster.

This gives me an opportunity to continue to be the voice for students, parents and teachers. Everything I do on the Board is about keeping youth at the forefront of every decision that we make.

I look forward to having students at the trustee table engaging with the trustees and aiding in key decisions that will directly affect students throughout the city. As well, I’ll prioritize key issues around transportation and safety in Queensborough, one of our fastest growing neighborhoods.

I am also committed to living our Board’s mission and values.  In 2018, the Board went through a mission and values process to rethink what our purpose and core values are. We aspire to make New Westminster Schools a place where students love to learn. Our new mission is to enable each student to learn in a safe, engaging and inclusive environment. Our values are collaboration, engagement, equity, inclusion innovation and integrity. I am proud to be a member of a board with this mission and these values and I will work to use this as a lens in all the work I put forward.
